The Page Sage

The Page Sage was started because I love reading and writing- it just seemed like the natural way to combine my two passions. It's where I discuss books I love and some I don't, as well as everything from book covers to feminist literature.

Book Review: Bloody Jack by L.A. Meyer

Bloody Jack: Being an Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary "Jacky" Faber, Ship's Boy (Bloody Jack, #1)

"Ever since I saw Pirates of the Caribbean, I have been fascinated with pirates and seafaring folk in that time period. I also love the Piraticabooks (the first two, anyway) and from what I heard, Bloody Jack is similar. While Jacky Faber is actually a law-abiding sailor, not the pirate I had hoped for, this book definitely lived up to my expectations."
